Just tried iTunes to see how it works, don't see myself using it that much. Can't wait for iToner to have the selecting part for it, its pretty cool in iTunes.

I've also rolled a few of my own. I copy them to a specific folder, use Audacity to cut it, then SFTP them via Fugu to my iPhone (after having first changing my root password). Currently, my main ringtone is "Mamma was a CPU" by Kraftwerk (I think), and the one for my wife is the theme for the Republic from Star Wars Episode 4.

I used Fission to crop the track, and just used the standard iTunes extension trick. Current ringtone: Heaven Forbid - The Fray. The riff at -0:22 through -0:06. <3 The Fray. I've also got Stephen Colbert's "Your phone is ringing" from a few weeks ago just to get laughs occasionally, haha.
