Feel a need to upgrade

I need some insight from folks here as to how much a 1 year old (come November) a 2.16 C2D MBP would fetch in the open market. Would like to upgrade to Mac Pro since I have never taken this out of the house.

Oh, I couldn't post in the market place so that's why my thread is here.

I successfully sold my 2.16 C2D MBP for $1500 in the marketplace about 1.5 months ago. They're becoming increasingly difficult to find, and quite frankly, with all the yellowing issues in the current MBP if I had to buy one now I'd insist on going with one of the "older" 2.16 C2D MBPs.
