Okay so now I'm trying to install freetype with fink and I have attached the output of the compile with corresponding errors (first error occurs at line 171).
It appears that it can't locate my X11 include files which is bizzare since I have X11 installed and installed it before fink (I imagine when I installed fink it located the include files). A
Anyways, if you have any idea why the build failed please let me know.
