How to view pics on camera without importing?

When I connect my camera to my MBP the only way I can view the pics is to download them all onto my HD. Is there a way i can view them and download just the pics I want while thet are still on the camera?

I think Image Capture (in the utilities folder) can do this. Just run the app, in the preferences, you can set stuff like this and also whether you want IC to run instead of iPhoto when you plug in the camera.

also, the new iPhoto lets you view and choose pics to import while they're still on the card. In my opinion the best new feature of the new version.
