iPod touch Can you add Notes to a contact?

Is Notes one of the fields you can add or edit? (I know you can add or edit contacts but not events.)

If so, then making blank "contacts" would be a workaround to get notes--which would then sync to your Mac and vice versa.
 
Yes you can add notes as contacts. That's exactly what I've been doing. It isn't the most convenient thing to do via the menu, but it's doable.
