Hi, on my WinXP I had a free program called DVdate (http://paul.glagla.free.fr/dvdate_en.htm) that captured my DV video over firewire and split the files and named according to date and time code of capture.
Can anyone suggest how I can do this on my Mac. I tried iMovieHD but it only saves as clips sequentially numbered when I drag to desktop.
I try and shoot clips under a few minutes each on my Panasonic PVGS-500 so there are markers for the start and stop point.
Incidentally when using DVdate you can output the DV video as DV type 1 or DV type 2. I used to use as DV type 2 because that's what Adobe Premiere Elements preferred. Is that the same for FCE (my copy is in the mail).
Thanks in advance.
