Hey everyone, is there a way to directly record sounds that are playing on your computer in OSX? Thanks.

It can be a third party application, I was just wondering if it was possible.

WireTap Pro (www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/wiretap/) lets you record any sound coming through your comp. I use the free download and it suits me well.

install boot camp, load up windows, turn on the sound recorder application that's been included since i don't know, Windows 3.0.

wee haw.

it's ridiculous that an OS with system-wide grammar and spell-check can't record the sounds that are coming out of it's own speakers to a file. This has been a gripe of mine for years. I shouldn't have to buy a 3rd party app to record a sound clip. Especially not on a machine that's built to record, mix, master and output professional-quality audio. It's silly.
