iPod What should i do?

in light of the new ipod touch screen issues im tempted to cancel my ipods engraving so i can return it if the screen is crap.

a)But if i reorder as you have to, cancel an reorder will the delivery time likely change? its on track for 28th shipping and 1-2 delivery (in the UK)

b)will ringing apple make a difference?
