That's where you have me beat, video card. When my screen gets full of buildings, units, gunfire it slightly slows down.
How do I tell the FPS?
And boy does the video card heat up!
Amazing game!

FRAPs :) useful program ^^
but on my pc my 3rd party Nvida drivers also support the display of FPS :) rival tuner :) give it a look if ur a nvidia card user ^^ it's much better than the normal drivers :) much better control over the card :)
when the game is maxed out with full AA the screen gets over whelmed with the environmental effects ... special that 5 player map you get as stock with the game, love the glass effects / shimmer of the force fields ^^ rail guns look amazing too :)
Actually it my graphics card is ok with rival tuner I have set up my own custom fan config, so at moment in an open case it's 67C the ambient reader of room is about 18C, cpu is at 49-48-45-45 temps will all fall loads as soon as my P182 arrives :)

MB Pro, 2.16, 120GB HD, 2G RAM, Leopard
I run all of it on low... Should I be able to run it on better settings? I'm not too picky as it still looks great on low!

I've got the same spec - 15" C2D 2.16, and it works fine on either the internal 1440x900 with default settings. I'm going to check it out soon on the external 20" (1680x1050) with high settings.
The fans go mental, but it looks great :)
