uhm sure. and that oval is also on my router, my speakers, my LG phone, my {insert here}...

good catch, but i would just say that it's apple sticking to a simplistic design more than like that shape specifically.
 
Think it has more to do with it then that. First iPhone and now the new universal dock. Apple is up to something😱haha🙂
