Ok, I don't even like rap music, or Chamillionaire. But I do have to say that his latest disc is unreal, much better than either Graduation or Curtis. There are at least 4-5 hot tracks on this disc...he won't sell as much as Kanye or 50 b/c he doesn't have the name, but his disc is far superior to either of theirs.

Just my $.02...

I dunno, I guess I see rappers like Chamillionaire and 50 appealing to a totally different group of listeners than Kanye, Common, or Lupe Fiasco would. It's hard for me to compare them for that reason.

I still need to listen to 50's album though, and I'll give Chamillionaire's a shot too. :)

I definitely agree, however, the new Cham CD does have a few more radio friendly tunes akin to Kanye (especially since Chamillionaire gave up swearing on this CD, so the whole thing is "clean.").

It also has a few more "musical" tracks (singing, great guitar riffs, tight synth, horns ala Outkast, etc.) than his stuff usually does. Check out the song "Industry Groupie" which has the a Rocky theme riff throughout the song, and the song "Won't Let You Down" which has some harmony & melody singing akin to an R&B song mixed with a tight tune. There are quite a few songs that Clear Channel & nationwide radio will latch on to and blast from their monopolistic stations...

"Industry Groupie" is one track I love how he puts all the hip-hop songs all together.
