Hello,
I currently using my iphone with my own ATT simcard
the reason that I am using my own simcard is because i have a big corporate discount on my plan, unlimited everything.
I want to update to the latest firmware but i am afraid is going to lock the phone again, is it safe to do it? and would i use the same instructions from unlocktheiphone.com??
thanks in advance!!!

You don't lose you rate plan, but they make you add that data plan. Unless you tell them you are leaving the country and need it off to avoid insane data charges. And then forget to put it back on.......
Either way, the update will likely result in a restore. What version do you have? 1.0.1 is great, there is really nothing of value at all in 1.0.2 that anyone has noticed.

Dont update, keep using it like that.
There is another update comming out in a week and all hacked phones would need to be restored back to factory mode and then update to the latest firmware update.
And by that the unlock feature would be gone and we dont know yet if the old unlock process would work with the new update.
