Why do you like to sing?

:)Hello. I have to write a paper tomorrow on my favorite hobby, which is singing and need to know the opinion of others ,who like to sing, on why he/she like to sing. So could someone please let me know why he/she likes to sing?:rolleyes:

Singing is a natural habit and can be fun and relaxing.

I've sung in a school chorus. That was a way of learning technique and performance skills.

I sing silly songs to kids, which is for their amusement. My wife has taken kids in our family to sing-along showings of movie musicals. The crowd joins in singing during the showing of a well-known movie. That's a good activity for families.

I sing along with my favorite songs in the car and (when appropriate) at concerts. Singing along makes you part of the music.

I often threaten to sing along with Aretha Franklin songs. That's a good way to tease my relatives.

I love the state I go into when I sing... as lame as it sounds, it's the only time I feel real, like my true self. Heh. :o

Well, as a musician, even though I have no skill at singing whatsoever, singing and being able to write lyrics (not that that's the question at hand) makes me feel more centre-stage and involved with a song, even if that's not necessarily true (which it usually isn't)

well, i believe singing is the first thing a baby really recognizes. and it usually soothes the baby. i guess, singing should sooth our inner selves...

i guess those terrorists should sing more. but, that belongs to another thread...

i sing because i want to feel something. does that make sense?

I only sing when music is on, or if my friend (who is a proper singer, of sorts) is going at it.

We've been known to sing opera whilst hiking over the moors :) just feels great as you can really let yourself go. Be as loud as you want and nobody will hear you. That's why I like it.
