I haven't been able to connect to IRC with Xchat (or MRChat). I think the campus blocked the 6667 port or somthing like that. Anyway, how can I change the port Xchat uses?

It's not uncommon for universities and corporations to block IRC ports.

In the area "Settings for Selected Network", you may specify the port beside the server. Click the are under the column "Port" and enter the number.
