when should you power off?

Do you power off your ipod or just put it to sleep? When should you power it off?

I'm not even sure how to power mine off... I just tap the standby button whenever I've finished using it (or, if I'm playing music just to switch the display off).

Gotta read that downloaded pdf of the full manual sometime - odd they didn't ship a manual with the ipod.. you're expected to just know how to use it based on the quick start guide.

well, if you think about it, people never power off their older ipods...when you hold the play button down that just puts it to sleep.

you hold the button for a short time and there's a slider to power it off.

Put it to sleep when you got it in your pocket or whatever and are listening to music and power it off when your not using it at all.
