I have a 2 bay USB external usb case... Like a RAID box... It will house 2 IDE drives.. They will mount on your desktop as 2 separate drives...

I almost forgot, ever since the 10.4.10 update on my iMac, the drives would not mount via direct connection USB. But when I connected it to my Airport Extreme (N-model), I was able to mount them that way...

Edit: I'm adding 2-200 gig Maxtor drives.

One of them was manufatured in 10/07/05 and the other 3/7/06...
