Hello,
I am new to Apple Scripts, but have a general idea of how to use them, especially in the OS environment. I have created a script so that a disabled student can use a voice command to open a powerpoint presentation (he says "open slideshow"). Now I want to write a script so that he can do another voice command in PowerPoint that will switch from design view to slide show view. How do I create a script once I'm within a program? I've tried recording the commands, but apple script doesn't seem to record commands within a program the same way it does for basic OS commands.

Thanks for the help

Rob

It's not exactly an answer to your question, but will this help?

It gives me the scripts, but I'd like to learn how to write or record a script for the task - cheaper too (I'm in a school)

I think your problem isn't with AppleScript, but with Microsoft: Linkety (http://lists.apple.com/archives/AppleScript-Users/2002/Dec/msg00437.html)
(A bit old, but still applicable, if you're using v.X)

AppleScript was revamped in 2004, but in 2008 it'll get much better:
