I'm looking at upgrading the internal hard drive on my iBook G4, 12", 1,33 Ghz. and found this one:

Western Digital 2.5" 160GB WD1600BEVE PATA 5400 8mb

The question is whether it will fit? Is there a site, preferably independant, which lists compatible hard drives for Mac laptops?

Also, if I buy an external enclosure, can I clone my current hard drive to it, with partitions and all, and have the Mac-store just stick it in without having to re-install Tiger?

If so, what software would I need to use to clone it?

I believe they come in two sizes, 9.5mm and 12mm and you need 9.5mm, I think.

And that drive is 9.5mm tall, so it will fit:

Metric Height 9.5 ±0.20 mm
