iPod touch Was this a good move?

Okay.

Went to my local Best Buy as the nearest Apple Store is 2 hours away and thought I'd try my luck with getting a Touch there.

They had ONE, an open box week 37. I turned it on and messed with it in the store. Everything seems fine; it is in PERFECT shape and it doesn't seem to have the negative imaging.

It was $230 dollars!

Did I LUCK OUT or am I just not seeing the negative stuff as it IS a week 37?

That said; if it does have the negative problem can I return it to an Apple Store for a new one or would have just have to deal with Best Buy... Annnd... with Best Buy could I potentially get a NEW week 38+?

how did u get one for 230 dollars when it is like 400 online

all u americans are lucky u can pick one up. im in canada and they dont come to best buy until oct.

i live near the border so im gonna go to troy michigan and pick one up
hope its 38 week
 
Well... It was an open box... but I was allowed to "play" with it before buying it. Getting $70 dollars knocked off a high demand item just because someone didn't want it is not typical.

Someone must have brought it back. $230 is still a lot to pay. I'd say play with it a few days and i'm sure you can bring it back if you see it's not 100%.

until I put a movie on my Touch, I could not tell the screen was defective, maybe you got lucky, maybe you got screwed. I plan on exchanging mine tommorow.
 
Utah? Helllllls no! Just kidding. Nope, Minnesota. I put V for Vendetta on there... (Dark movie) and it looks fine...
 
Can I return my touch I bought at Best Buy at an Apple Store? If I learn that the screen is bad... Which i think it isnt.
 
If you return it, they won't give you a shiny new iPod. They would either credit you back what you paid for it, or you could pay the difference for a brand new one.
 
take it back and get a brand new one. i would (but i dont really care about ripping off a multi national company, did it with my 1G nano by wetting it)
