iPod touch couple of questions about touch(just got one)

i purchased a couple songs via the wireless itunes music store and when i plugged in my iPod touch the songs didnt go to my iTunes library? how do i do this?

also when syncing content is there a way to choose specific episodes within a season? besides the "5 last watched"

this just syncs what i have already chosen.

im trying to figure out how to choose individual episodes out of a season to sync...the only options are "unwatched" or most "recent" etc. theres no option to choose individual episodes.

anyone know?

i click "sync only checked music and videos"

but when i click sync it doesnt sync them.
