I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet but there is the new Xserve (released without much fanfare) Not much of an upgrade, but curious none the less. Also, I would guess this lends to the belief that there will be no G5 in PowerBooks anytime soon ('cause if there was a way to saddle one of those into something "slim" it would have shown up in an Xserve)
Still, the Xserve is a great looking piece of hardware, but alas, it's not going to win any performance awards anytime soon....

Are you sure they're updated? Apple's spec page says they were last updated in February.

I'm going by the Sept '03 issue of MacWorld (which covers the minor changes made.)

Yeah, I have no idea why Apple calls them the "new" Xserves.....
Still can't find out what's so new

Uhh.... if I'm not mistaken, these are months, months old, from around the time we got the 1.42's.
MacWorld and MacAddict just seem to take their time to review this stuff. They reviewed a new eMac like 3 months late. I think it's because they're in economic trouble and can't afford all the goodies... :( Or does Apple ship them the stuff¿
