is anyone working on a security application for iphone? i'm afraid it is beyond my limited scripting capabilities, but how hard would it be to . . .
install an application on the iphone that will check regularly (say once an hour) a user defined web server. if the web server indicates (ie. has a particular file) that the phone has been stolen, then the application on the iphone could do a number of things:
take a bunch of photos, and upload them to the server
upload the ip address of the phone (and any other location specific info - like cell towers, if that is available)
upload the current phone number of the phone
then, if requested, delete all user information.
