r.I would suggest a Jeep, a little bulky around the office but perfectly adapted to carry your iPhone in when camping.

I would buy a cheap unlocked gsm phone and pop out your iPhone sim and bring that.

These guys make great stuff, and while the iPhone case won't be waterproof (most of their other cases are, including for the iPhone w/ control capability) it will be pretty rugged.

As a member of the press, they've sent me samples of other cases, and they confirmed today I'm on the list for the iPhone...October they say.

I've take my OtterBox case on a transatlantic cruise including the Rock of Gibraltar, Canary Islands, Barcelona, etc. Great company, great products.

Well if you don't live outdoors and only plan on outdoor excursions every once in a blue moon, I would just use a small video camera bag that's padded on the inside; and line the inside of it with ziplock like plastic (for waterproofing) .

Buy a small Pelican case. It has a lifetime warranty and is completely waterproof.
A Tupperware container works well too and costs less

Better yet just leave the phone at home
