iPod touch iTunes video converting (sound issue?)

**disclaimer: I did a search in this forum, but apologies if I missed the thread covering this**

I've tried to convert several videos within iTunes with the "convert for ipod" function but for some reason they all lose sound when converted.

Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?
