OS X Desktop Paralyzed

Hey Guys i have a big problem, i have a pretty beefy Mac Pro system and im having a pretty big issue. ill have 6-7 applications open and then all of sudden the application's will become paralyzed i cant click on them or access them and sometimes my desktops drives will do the same thing... Anyone have similar issue? I have had a iMac Macbook Powerbook Macbook Pro and never had this issue.

Sounds like a mouse/keyboard issue.

i dont think so the keyboard is wired the mouse is a BT but i dont think that would cause these problems, next time it happens i will get a wired mighty mouse out,

Try booting from your install disk and going to disk utility to do a repair disk and repair permissions. Then use the system if all goes well great! If not try an archive and install, if that still fails try making a new user account and seeing if that account experiences the same issues, if it doesn't move your files over and tada you are done. If it does, back up your stuff, do an erase and install and move everything back.
