iPod touch iPod touch update coming Sept. 28th?

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, but my iTunes is planning to check for a software update for the iPod touch on September 28th, the day the touch was supposed to originally ship by. Could this be the day Apple answers some of our crippled software related complaints about the touch?

It would be nice, but unlikely. Most likely just an arbitrary pre-established date for updating... but I could be wrong

No, iTunes just checks weekly for updates. Pure coincidence.

This is right, its just when it checks for the next update.

Not so fast. My iPT 37 had SW version 1.0 that one says 1.1 like my week 38.

iTunes told me today it would check again on Oct 2nd which is exactly 7 days.

Hmmm, I just reinstalled itunes (reformatted computer, which I highly reccomend to anyone who hasn't done it in the last 2 years, for it can greatly improve performance) and I saw the Sept. 28th notice and got happy.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if they added a bunch of software!!!

Sadley, sigh..., I don't think it's going to happen.
