I'm about to start decorating the back bedroom (well more of a computer/music room) in my house. I was thinking about lighting and decided I wanted an original George Carwardine / Herbert Terry Anglepoise lamp as I think they're fantastic.

What are your favourite pieces of product design?

My folks have a Eames chair/ottoman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eames_Lounge_Chair) that is quite lovely.

Admittedly some of these are not attainable for the average consumer and won't fit in your back bedroom but they are great designs (with no British bias at all ;)).

I love this kind of lamp. Don't know why, but it may have something to do with that pixar short.
