"The jury in the murder trial of music producer Phil Spector has failed to reach a verdict, leading a mistrial to be declared." BBC

But prosecutors want a retrial, so I guess the end is not yet in sight.

I read they were split 10-2, but the foreman wouldn't say which way they were leaning. I'm sure that's what lots of people want to know. It's certainly no surprise that the prosecutor wants a new trial. Hung juries really don't settle the matter.

I reckon he's innocent.
He maybe as mad as a sack of spanners, but I don't think he'd kill someone.

Several witnesses testified that he held a gun to their head.

Can a celebrity be convicted in California?

Holding a gun to a head and actually pulling the trigger are far removed from each other.

Like I said:
Mad? Definitely
Killer? I doubt it.

Guilty or not: I think you've hit the nail on the head…

Although in this case I think he is innocent…

Agreed. I hold a gun to someone's head several times a week, but I rarely pull the trigger.
