1.1.1 questions, data roaming on or off if not abroad

hey everyone,

I had a couple questions about the update,


If you are not abroad, then do you want the data roaming on or off?


secondly, i am confused about how to adjust the alert volume, what does this apply to?

you want the data roaming to be off if you are not travelling.

I spoke to ATT and Apple as I am about to leave for France. They both indicated that the feature will work if you are not on a domestic network only. Meaning that you can not turn off edge in the US.


Oddly enough the apple guy to me to test it on France and confirm that it is working. He stated to tunr the phone on, assuming you were in airplane mode, and have the Data Roaming to OFF position, then try to connect to the web.

He alos pointed me to the little warning that states that it may avoid roaming charges, under the switch to turn on and off, just in case it did not work , they are not on the hook
