Line-in audio not playing through MacBook speakers.

I am running a Xbox 360 LR (White and Red) audio cables into my MacBook. There is no sound coming despite the input volume being shown as sufficiently high in the Sound System Preference menu.

You need something like: Rogue Amoeba LineIn (http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies/)

It will route any input (including external USB) to your speakers (or any other output device).

I Just Found This Post And I Want To Say Thanks For Providing This Software I Did Freak Out Last Night I Was Recording A Live Mix Session Using Ableton Live To Record The Audio And Suddenly It Stop Receiving Audio And I Thought There Was A Proble With The Soundcard Hardware Or Something.....my Question Is Would Me Fixed Normally If I Reinstall Macos? I Used The Software Recommended And Worked Perfectly Using Pass Thru
