After some legal problems that left the Hydra text editor called "#####" for a while, it has finally been renamed SubEthaEdit, a clever spin on a Douglas Adams quote.
I've been using it for months now, and SubEthaEdit is still one of my favorite apps. First, it's freeware, and everybody loves that. Second, it's a really great little text editor that includes many of the features expected in a good one, like syntax coloring. And best of all, SubEthaEdit features multiple simultaneous users editing the same document via Rendezvous.
If you have any need for a text editor, try it, you'll like it.
