Can a mac ATI Rage pro 16meg card work in a PC?

Not just like that.
You'll have to flash it. But I'm not sure if that is a possibility at all with that card.

thanks, Im trying to throw together a pc for school and had that card hoping I could use it but I didnt think I would.

Just took a look at this site (http://www.rageunderground.com/rage128faq.shtml)

They strongly recommend NOT flashing this card at all....
It seems you'll be needing some cheap 2nd hand PC grfx card. Unlucky.
