Can anyone recommend a program which allows me to copy my music from my IPod back onto my Mac. I trashed the partition today--doing too much at once and not paying enough close attention--and lost my music on the local drive.
Thanks so much in advance.

just search www.versiontracker.com. all of the iPod websites probably have instructions/programs too, for instance

From my buddy Mat Peterson comes this little app. This is a link to the demo, but the 7 day expiration should be plenty for just getting your songs off.
I suggest this one highly, though there are other program out there.

the best one I have come across is CrockPod - this is wicked. It is not some dodgy AppleScript it is a proper app. you can select your songs and browse through etc as long as you have OSX
