I connect my iphone to some powered computer type speakers via the docking base line out connecter to listen to the ipod at work. I routinely get interference noise from the speakers, I assume from the phone or e-mail parts of the iphone. Anybody else see this? Is it something a better pair of speakers would solve or is it inevitable? Thanks. Jon

It's normal with most GSM phones (like the iPhone). Google for "gsm speaker interference" and see what pops up. Usually "better" speakers use more shielded wires, which helps cut down on the interference.

It is due to the iPhone being on a GSM network, it causes interference with speakers. The only way to solve the issue is to either, get a non-GSM phone (aka Verizon etc..) or get shielded speakers like these http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/promedia-ultra-2-0.aspx

This is normal for all GSM phones. Easiest way to get rid of it is to put your phone in airplane mode or move it further from your speakers.
