Apple DVI to ADC Adapter really hot!

I got an Apple DVI to ADC adapter to connect my 17' studio display to my gaming PC. However, I touch the block that the power cord runs to and where you connect the ADC display and it is REALLY HOT!!!

The adapter works fine, but I am wondering if anyone else using this adapter has found that the block becomes very very warm.

il check tomorrow for you. im pretty sure this is normal but i will double check min tomorrow.
