iPhone & Verizon Yahoo! Mail works on home wifi only, nowhere else

I use Verizon DSL.
I have Verizon Yahoo! Mail.

At home, on my wifi, the iPhone accesses the POP account just fine.
But when I am on any other wifi network (a neighbor's, at work, etc), I cannot access the mail.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to make this work?

I am using incoming.yahoo.verizon.net and outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net
SSL is off on both incoming and outoing.
Authentication is on.

Perhaps I should be using a particular port? Not sure which ones...

Verizon might not let you use their servers when your not on their network. Not sure how to fix it.
