Hey how do I know if its working It doesn't seem to be working on mine.

it only detects light when it is unlocked...it is not on all the time. you could use that information to test to see if it works, which i am sure it will.
 
Try walking into a dark room and then a bright room, I suppose?

Edit: nlivo's comment makes sense, that it would check upon unlock. Does that work?
