Xbox 360 Hell

I'm posting this on behalf a friend...

His Xbox 360 image started blurring out during game play and he restarted it. It then started the ring of death and showed error 74. Xbox Support dispatched a box and supposedly reparied it. After receiving it back a month later, it isn't turning on. The power supply light is amber. When you push the power button, nothing happens. No red ring of death, no error message...

...nothing.

Xbox Support is sending out another box and I'm wondering if there is anything that can be done in the mean time. I've already missed the Halo release and a month of game play and am quite fed up with Microsoft.

Any help is much appreciated!

Advise: Get a PS3 or a Wii.....he'll be in a much better position than having to deal with the RROD.

Maybe its too late, but if you complain and ask for a manager, maybe you can get something from them (a game, added month of Live, or a replacement...)

He's already gotten a month of Live. They sent it back with his broken Xbox.

Same thing happened to me

Ring of death month later get one back that doesnt work

We sent it back the week before halo 3 comes out.

Now we have halo 3 and no Xbox

hopefully we get a new one this time.
