I have both a new 24" iMac and a fairly new 15" MBP. So should I partially answer????

It's true, this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=224524) has been discussed (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=219541) in various (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=123344) forms before, and it doesn't always fare well. In fact, I think the tone of this thread isn't superb as it is...
