View Full Version : How hide Windows partition icon on desktop?

Hi everyone, can someone tell me how hide Windows disc icon on desktop Mac OS X. System files on Windows is NTFS if this information help. Some program or something in this style?

They way i did this was to boot into windows and then rename the C: drive to be ".windows" without quotes. The fullstop means it is hidden from the desktop in Mac OS X

Boot into Windows and put a period in front of the name of your C: drive. (ie ".Local" or ".C")
Once OS X boots up, the drive will be hidden because OS X hides folders that start with a period by default.

Thanks its works. I forgot last question - how change icon for Windows drive? I copy my icon and paste on default icon drive, but no works .

You must have an NTFS partition. Read the threads linked above.
You need to change the icon from withing Windows. (Where you can write to the partition).
