I've been thinking about this myself - didn't realise they had a tax-free website, thanks for the link!

Am flying to NY later this week so was thinking of maybe picking up an iPod touch over there but also wondered if they might have them at Dixons at Heathrow; the price works out near enough the same for the 8GB version.

You can get duty free on internal flights?Yes the tax-free price is for all travellers.

Good luck with that, not a single shop has one within a 20 mile radius of my house. I like the fact that i have one though

Tax man can't get you when you're in the air.

I asked in Edinburgh and Heathrow about 10 days ago... and the guy reckoned they wouldn't have any until mid October or so. I guess that's getting close now...

It's not really duty-free since you will actually get a VAT receipt on the purchase and can claim back the VAT if you're a business. It's a marketing ploy that BAA and Dixons dreamt up when the EU stopped duty-free sales to other EU countries... they came up with 'cheap' prices for everyone to encourage them to shop at the airport. That's why the really good deals are sometimes only available if you are flying outside the EU.
