Printer problem with Airport extreme

I just got the Airport extreme yesterday. I was trying to connect it to my
HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One printer, but with no success. I read some of the posts here and learned ceratain printers may not be compatible with Airport extreme. Is it the case with HP C3100 series too? Or was it something that I did wrong? Please help!
