is an ibook update likely?

i have been waiting a long time for an ibook. waiting from nov for a major update to the ibook.waited.....waited......waited......then came april/may, a 100mhz speed bump and cheap looking plastic case! very disappointing!

was wondering if they are likely to do an update before school start

i'm sorry, but i can't help wonder about this... you waited since nov.?? that's 3/4 of a year. i assume you are not in a serious need of a computer? - that's really, really long time to wait.

good luck... i know you've "invested" your time waiting and want to get something to "show" for waiting... but you might be better served just getting what's out there and start enjoying the computer...

I doubt it. I think Powerbook waiters will go and burn down Apple head quarters if a majorly updated ibook suddenly comes out.:)

iBook update: White plastic with G3 (cute as it is, I still have one) will vanish.
The new iBook is here already: 12" PB.
We have to wait for PowerBook updates (G5?, 7457 G4?, faster 7455?)....
