Well i think it does and it not dead because i have had it for 2weeks and only just a problem now, it looks dark from far away but when looking at it closer, it seems to be changing colours...
Is there anyway of fixing this??
Thanks.

Rub it gently with a cloth and maybe play a video behind it overnight.

be careful with the rubbing. some people damaged their display or left a rubbing mark on the surface because the cloth was not soft enough. i have 5 dead pixels on my dell 24" screen and i can't see them unless i really look for them. so why not forget about it rather than risking damage to the screen.

How will rubbing help on the al-iMac, since there is a glass panel well in front of the LCD panel.

Touché. Maybe chip it out with a mallet and chisel then.

Run this: http://www.jscreenfix.com/basic.php
If that doesn't work, take it back.
I had a few pixels on my 3-week old iMac that were either dead or stuck. I was beyond my 14-day window but the Mac Genius kindly swapped my machine with a new one. I now have a unit without dead pixels (of course now that I said that I'll discover 10 of them).
