So turns out everything I use at work, works on my mac. Granted one website I have to use doesnt. So I'm going to get parallels so that I have IE and can use it. I have 512mb of Ram, I know I need more to run parallels without hanging all the time, will 1g due the trick, or do I need to get 2g?

P.s. I already tried IE 5 for mac, its the latest version out there and it didnt work.

P.s.s. I have to use IE because the site has a digital key or encryption of some sort that will only allow IE to access the site.

How much RAM does Mac OS X need to run well? How much RAM does Windows need to run well? Add these numbers together. The sum is how much RAM you need to run both at once. A lot depends on your option of what "run well" means.

I would say 1gb at the low end. 2gb is much better.

Look seriously at VMware. then decide if you like that better.
