After it is released by Apple, we would like to do a Leopard release party. Just wondering if anyone had any exciting ideas for things that could be done to make such an event more fun.

have a install leopard party and then just fool around with it all night that is what i am going to do

release an actual Leopard, should liven things up a bit.

Maybe you could make Leopard themed stuff like posters or something. Maybe you could use Leopard themed paper cups, LOL!:p

My local CompUSA had one for the Tiger launch and it was really good so we will prob have another one for 10.5

We ran CompUSA out of SoCal.

They really went down hill when they bought -- and closed -- Good Guys. They were much better than Circuit City.

Good riddance. I'm headed to Fry's the day of launch.

Everyone has to wear leopard printed clothes. every piece of lcothing. and then go out in public together to the mall or a theme park. or just wear leopard thongs and play twister. Rawr.

Well

1) The sales team at our compusa is quite good (and nice).
2) It is the DAMN closest thing we have to an apple store for the time being.

Yeah, that part sucks.

Luckily I have Fry's and a real Apple store somewhat nearby. But I did appreciate that CompUSA at at least tried to service our market (albeit a 15' x 15' corner of the store). Frankly, had it not been for CompUSA I probably would have never thought about using Macs. Their display of MBPs turned my head and made me switch.

Back on topic...

I think a Leopard party would be cool. I'd go to one if it were local.

I remember all the buzz when XP was released. That was a fun time for us nerds. It would be cool if I could relive that with the new cat.

For the Tiger release one on the local apple resellers had two live white tiger cubs in their store that evening. I went to the launch party just to pet the tiger cubs.

I hope they do the same thing with Leopard cubs this time.

now that would be awesome! but i doubt there will be anything like that around here
