How do I print a image from the desktop?

Hi, I am a past windows user and just converted over to Mac. I use to use the print screen button on a windows keyboard, and now that I own a mac mini, I see no print screen button. How do I capture a screen and save it to my hard drive?

Shift+Apple+3 for whole screen
Shift+Apple+4 for a selection

You can automatically select just an individual window by hitting "space", after cmd-shift-4.

Move the camera icon over the window you want to snapshot, then click the mouse.

Easier than trying to align a marquee over the window's edges. 🙂
