I'm not a Star Trek fan, but I love how that all goes together. I also like how the bottom icons go with the other ones in a way (transparency, like with the beaming up) and also how they are angled. Nice job!

"iPod" isn't text, it's an image file (.png). Just make a file with the given dimensions and save it as a .png, change the name to what it tells you, and plop it where it tells you to.

Updated my SummerBoard theme with a few new icons and I made sure the dock works this time! (I suppose before I done it Apple style: release now, make sure it works later :D) Heres a screenshot below, but there are more icons then what are shown, I have 3 pages of apps and posting them all would just take up too much time and forum space.

PS: There should be a separate thread for people to post SummerBoard themes!

Question... this may be something someone could answer for me... Some people have docks that go all the way up (just like the original iphones theme) and most have it go up half way... even if you have a dock thats larger (built for the iphones), how would you get it to come all of the way up? I saw a few people do it, so I know it can be done... I did search the boards before hand, and didn't find anything

Simple, you don't need a dock. Just make the dock an extra layer (partially transparent, if you want) on your background wallpaper.

Huh, never thought about that... So you're just include the dock on the bottom of your wallpaper then just make the dock.png file transparent? I'll try it now

The size was 320x480 - That's the native resolution of the iPod and iPhone... but, why did it dither?

this is my modified horizontal theme of plainjaindim. Maybe someone with more technical skills can modify my idea of a horizontal home screen and actually make it work. I think it would be interesting. I know this is a poor excuse for a custom theme. Just mainly trying to throw the whole idea of a horizontal screen out there and see if it would be something possible to do.

All I did was change the color/saturation using Photoshop, It didn't come out looking too great so I didn't keep another copy when I SSH'd it onto my iPod. I'll redo it now though, just give me like 20 minutes so I can find the file on Customize. The green was annoying and nobody else ever sees it, I just changed it for my own sake. :p

can the dock image have transparency, or does it just have to blend in with the background (for example, if I am doing a Leopard style 3-d dock, do the little corner triangles have to blend in, or can there be empty space in the png file, see the design I did 3 posts up)

Heres a modded version of the Ultimate Leopard theme (or Leopard10.5.1) that I got from the Installer (not sure which source, dont think it was official though), basically I changed a bunch of icons, added a few, got rid of the status bar, put icons for the Phone and Text apps for anyone using a iPhone (or fake iTouch Phone :D), converted the extra wallpapers to PNG format (or they wont work as a SummerBoard theme background) and added a custom dock... Enjoy!

Anyone that told you not to jailbreak because it voids the warranty is just paranoid. You can restore it easily. The apps on the Apple site are just online applications (websites).

Wow. How did you get your NES icon to take up more than the 60x60 pixels? It shows the reflection, kinda cool. I did the same thing yesterday on accident (a 120x210 icon took up that much room)... is it something new from SummerBoard?

also are the other sources that come with the installer any good? like Erikas iphone apps or anything. Seems like there are some cool apps which I cant seem to find..

it actually has nothing to do with summerboard, but rather springboard. most people wrongly think that icons have to be 60x60, but they can be any size. try putting a 200x200 icon and see what happens...(really big icon that blocks the other icons...but it still works.)

amr yes that is a notifier for unread mail. go to installer, utilities, then taskbar notifier. thanks for the compliment.

Does this work on iPod touch 1.1.2? I installed but couldn't get it working.
