It's a map photo you can rotate with your fingers, and zoom in on, using multitouch gestures. Like Tom Cruise does in Minority Report.

With mobile finder, go to your applications, then highlight the application you want to rename. Tap modify and you'll see (In say, the example of your weather.app) "Weather.app" as the name. Tap on that and the keyboard should pop up, name it to whatever you want, but remember to keep ".app" at the end of it. Exit mobile finder and restart your springboard (through SMBPrefs or just turning it off then on.)

Also, remember to name any corrosponding icon you have in summerboard to the same .app name, otherwise your icon will go back to the default.

I really haven't seen any themes with the text labels on the icons customized. Does anybody know how to change the label colors/fonts, etc. of the icon names - ie: maps/calculator/music/videos/etc?

Vigilante - well, thx for the info, but "make it mine" is only for changing/cloaking the name of your carrier... for iphones. Does nothing else.

no permissions needed,

file tree should look like this:

Themes/ThemeName/background.png
Themes/ThemeName/dock.png
Themes/ThemeName/icons/applicationname.png

example: to change the icon for "installer.app" put an icon named "installer.png" into the Themes/ThemeName/icons folder!

Thanks, but I was more interested in changing the fonts (color/size/type).

My wallpaper has some light areas in it, and some of the labels are hard to read in those areas. I thought about switching off the text, but would prefer to leave it if I can find a way to highlight the text from the background image.

Ahhh. If you only have one page, and don't mind doing things the lame way, you can just turn off text and make red text on your background for your icons.

If u have customize u go to a section called badge graphics and customize it there... u will need the theme "designer" if u want to get that color

Here's (http://code.google.com/p/mobilefinder/) the Google Code page. It's mostly usless but it's nice to have.
You need the BSD Subsystem installed for it to work btw.

Here's mine. I decided to go with a more clean and shiny theme. Since I couldn't figure out how to set the number of rows of icons per page, I had no choice but to delete the dock to have a complete view of the BEAUTIFUL 2008 BMW M3. Some of the icons I had to create myself like Othello, iBlackjack, iSolitaire, YouTube, and Clock.

I havnt had time to look into all the ssh stuff yet, so i just loaded on pics through itunes. You can create really effective themes that way (check my pics on the last page :)) obviously you use other peoples icons of installer :P

As for the icons, they are all included in the regular mystique theme, and I just found and renamed the ones that didnt have icons with suitable ones, and changed the ones that didnt have borders to the included ones that did.

Oh yea, and for the dock, I copied the mystique dock, deleted everything in it, and saved it, so it is just a transparent png file. (The dock pictured above is just with summerboard theme dock off).

Hey if anyone (who is like me) wants to have little apples up in the corner instead of the word iPod or their name (from make it mine) you can put these two files into /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app through SFTP, but make sure you make backups of the originals first!!

They are included in the theme. For example, the one without borders is Mail.png and the one with borders is Mail1.png, and so on. There are a shitheap of alternate icons included....

If its jailbroken and has openSSH installed then follow this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=4646847&postcount=2) guide. Once your in, choose '/' from the dropdown menu above where the files are listed and once there you will see a folder called Applications. Open that and you can see all of the applications you have installed. Choose the app that you would like to change the icon for and open its folder and in that folder should be a file called 'icon.png'. To change the icon all you do is replace that file with your own graphic; make sure its called 'icon.png', lowercase.
For the actual icon image, make sure its 60x60 pixels and a PNG file.
Hope thats clear enough ;)

Ok, so I am going to assume you have SMB and Customize

Extract the .zip file to your desktop (or wherever) then SFTP into your iPod Touch

Put the whole folder into /private/var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes

To just add the dock, grab the dock file and the icons for music, videos, safari, mail, and settings and put them into a theme of yours

Then, using Customize, set it to a five icon dock, then arrange the dock in any way you want with those five apps, as long as safari is in the middle

To get it to look it's best, add the source www.touchrepo.com/repo.xml and install dock icon reflection removal under the tweaks catagory

Im not sure about replacing the dock but having changed the music icon all of 24 hours ago I can take you through it ;)

In the MobileMusicPlayer.app folder you have to change the 'icon-AudioPlayer.png' rather than just the 'icon.png' file. There are also 2 other icons called 'icon-VideoPlayer.png' which is the Video icon and another called 'icon-MediaPlayer.png' which Im not sure what that changes.

I found a way to make the first page look just like the iPhone.. and the next well... 3rd party of course. :) No apps were hidden to get that space. Just 3 apps I made that don't have a UIRoleIdentifier and have a transparent icon. When you touch it, nothing happens.

so i installed jiggy runtime and jiggy to see what it was and i made an "app" (its in quotes because its not realy an app its pretty much an empty icon) and then i uninstalled jiggy runtime and jiggy and manually uninstalled the app i made. and wen i restartedd my ipod, where the wifi signal was there was a number instead! i remembered that the wifi signal was 2 bars before and now it sed 54 so im guessing it was the wireless strength. also, when i first installed jiggy runtime, it made my dock turn into the iphone dock. isnt that weirdd?? but then i just went into smbprefs and reloaded my theme so i had my dock again

i dont really have a way to take a picture but ill try to explain it.

if you split the dock theme in half the top half would run along the bottom of the screen so that the top of the center circle (where the safari icon would go) barely touches the bottom of the actual safari option

all the icons are in place but its as though the whole dock background theme thing got moved down half an inch

Buttah, you can install an app called Screenshot through installer. It is what everyone has been using to post their springboards in this thread. It may be helpful in people understanding your problem.

Theres and iphysics level which looks exactly like what your describing, but i have never found a theme like that :(
