Am I the only one who's getting completely sick of all the iPhone/iPod touch posts, especially the hacking threads?
I really would like to see a MacRumors without all the iPhone stuff. I just don't care about it. If we can't get these people their own site/forum, could we at least have a way to filter them out of New Posts?
edit: I see we can filter Forum Spy... maybe I'll start using that more...

Or you could do this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=187767) for new posts, from the sticky at the top of this forum

Ha! That works great!
For the truly lazy, here are the forums I excluded:
99,109,108,105,104,113
Just go to this page:
http://forums.macrumors.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
And enter in the "exclude forums" box.
If, like me, you have bookmarked the "new posts" search, you'll need to rebookmark it for it to work. [update: it doesn't seem to work at all from a bookmark.]
The forums I excluded are these:
iPhone (99), IPhone tips (109), iPhone accessories (108), iPHone apps (105), iPhone purchaser meetups (104), and iPod Touch (113). I kept iPhone news discussion (107), but you could delete that one too if you wanted....

If, like me, you have bookmarked the "new posts" search, you'll need to rebookmark it for it to work. [update: it doesn't seem to work at all from a bookmark.]Once you click the New Posts link, it turns into a search. If you bookmark the search, it won't do a new search the next time.
However, you can do the following: Click New Posts and save the bookmark. Then go to your Bookmarks window and edit the bookmark's URL. Set it to this:http://forums.macrumors.com/search.php?do=getnewIn this version, I've excluded some forums:http://forums.macrumors.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=1,2,3,4,5

Yeah, the iPod and iPhone forums are completely boring and irrelevant to me also.
